Career Summary
I worked in Saudi Arabia for 13 years as HSE Advisor and then Country HSE Supervisor for a seismic survey/drilling organization, I was responsible for managing and developing procedures, chairing safety meetings, monitoring the HSE policy objectives and other programmes against the HSE management system, training requirements, planning mobilizing/de-mobilizing plans for each project and carrying out audits (Arabian Geophysical & Surveying 1997-2009).
With a year in Libya (2010-11) carrying out HSE consulting work for a seismic/drilling organization within the exploration industry until the country troubles started in 2011 (AGESCO).
I then carried out HSE training with NETA Training Group (UK) and became an approved
trainer for the National Site Safety Passport course and other health and safety related
courses.
I am at present contracting for a seismic survey/drilling organization working as a HSE
Advisor in the UK and Europe (Tesla International 2011-to date).
After recently completing the Lead Auditors course OHSAS 18001 (BSi), I would now like to expand my knowledge and experience of 14001/18001 systems.

As HSE Advisor/consultant for AGESCO (Libya), I monitored HSE performance against the HSE policy, objectives and other programmes using OHSAS 18001 as guide lines for best industry practice. The organization’s scope of work was exploration and drilling operations within the oil and gas industry.

Position – Country HSE Supervisor
In Saudi Arabia (ARGAS), during my time as a HSE Advisor and then as Country HSE Supervisor, I was involved in managing policies, method statements, developing programs and standards, chairing safety meetings at senior management level while monitoring the organizations HSE Management System using 18001 as guide lines for compliance. I delivered HSE Management System courses at senior level and at crew level (desert locations), which included;
Managing risk – HAZID, training given on hazards and associated risks, hierarchy of controls, monitoring and measuring statistics using KPI’s, carrying out accident investigation with recommendations and follow-ups.
Operational hazards in exploration and production – hazardous substances, H2s, land transport and physical hazards.
Safe systems of work – permit to work, job safety analysis, method statements and the importance of unsafe condition reporting.
Logistics and transport – driver training programs, mobilizing/de-mobilizing project plans, monitoring the vehicles fitted with gps tracking systems.
