ACHIEVEMENTS

 Assumed control of the Serta Mattress warehouse and shipping department, reorganized delivery and storage procedures, reduced delivery times, improved storage areas to facilitate improved delivery times and reduce cost of the transportation section. Starting operations had ten vehicles and drivers, within three years, upgraded to seventeen drivers and vehicles because of the improved operations. Scheduled, routed, and dispatched all vehicles for this operation. Went from a $2M business a year, in four years had a gross sales of over $34M.

 Supervise the entire operations for the Austin terminal of the fifth largest “less-than truckload” carrier in the USA. Responsible for all in-bound and outbound freight, scheduling, routing and dispatching, supervising 10 driver, 3 docks personnel and two office personnel in addition to overseeing preventative maintenance program on 10 tractors, 20 trailers, 8 dollies and 3 forklifts. Reduced operation cost by 18% in 2002 and another 14% in 2003; Helped develop growth within the company in 2004, obtaining 34% growth for the year in the terminal.

 Streamline the closing procedures for Air Freight operations, to include OTR and LTL manifesting to include truck closing, done consolidation, posting of manifest for PODs.

 Established Operation Procedures in the Lodging Assistance office for the US Air Forces in a major five-star hotel chain. Developed and implemented policies and procedures trained all personnel involved and started initial operations within thirty-day notice. Resulted in Earned Award Fee rating excess of 95% for over five years and fourteen straight months of 100% Award Fee. This was the Air Force’s first operation of this type.

 Designed and implemented Quality Assurance Control plans to ensure compliance with US Government contract.  Reorganized and turned around a poorly performing operation of the Izmir Billeting Office. Increased Earned Award Fee rating from 68% to 95% for over six years. Reduced inventory loss to zero and cost of sales inventory from 80% to 33%. Established a profit of over $18,000 in the first twelve months.

 Streamline the operations of Loaner Furniture delivery and washhouse. Designed the implemented a detailed pickup and delivery schedule, reduced moving items in warehouse and combined moves within respective deliveries from 20 to 40.

 Developed and implemented improved inventory control procedures. Conducted first complete inventory of assets in over seven years, identifying over 200 previously unaccounted for items, avoiding unnecessary purchasing and saving the US Air Force over $100,000.

 Selected as Operational Director for the movement of personnel and equipment from FT. Hood TX to Germany and back to FT. Hood, accomplished within budget and on time without loss of personnel, equipment or vehicles.
