Occupational Safety and Health Manager, Dairy Plant DEC 2011-Present

H.E.B., Manufacturing Division, San Antonio, TX 45 Hours per week

As plant occupational safety and health manager, I am responsible for the safety and health of 180 employees, while managing 8 Team Safety Coordinators. Required to provide safety and occupational health hazard recognition and policies to higher levels of management with specific knowledge of all compliance programs to exceed the regulatory requirements of OSHA, NFPA, EPA, DOT, and FDA.

Current projects include:

• Develop and implement strategic plan to guide the plant toward VPP status;

• Developed a hazard recognition program with trend analysis using severity, probability, and outcome of hazards to reduce the incident rate, as compare to the same time last year;

• Conducted surveys, acquired equipment, and trained fall protection and confined space requirements throughout several plants;

• Conducted an ergonomic, physical demand, and task hazard analysis of facility;

• Designed divisional lockout tagout programs and supervised the implementation of the program throughout all HEB Manufacturing facilities;

• Updated and trained the HAZCOM, and PMHE programs; and

• During the construction of multiple projects conducted hazard recognition and site inspections to determine the hazards throughout the construction and during pre-use analyses.

Brigade Safety and Occupational Health Manager JUN 2010-NOV 2011 4th Combat Aviation Brigade, 4th Infantry Division, Fort Hood, Texas 55 Hours per week

As a key member of the Senior Leadership of 2,700 Soldiers, I provided strategic support and technical guidance to the Operational Directors, Safety Health and Quality Team and Construction Project Managers. Within this role, I am also responsible for a Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality team who look after a diverse range of transportation and maintenance projects throughout Texas.

As Accident Board President, coordinated activities between board members to identify and analyze the causal factors, system defects and performance/standards failures leading to recommendations that reduce the loss of life and equipment damage.

• Conducted an analysis of accidents to trend factors impacting human and material resources and recommended actions to management in order to enhance accident prevention initiatives.

• Developed, scheduled, and conducted safety briefings and training, and professional development classes to reduce the frequency, severity, and cost of accidents and occupational illnesses.

Nomad Aviation Company, Multi Forces and Observers (MFO) Sinai, Egypt 60 Hours per week

• Served as Company Safety and Occupational Health Manager responsible for advising management on all safety and occupational health issues in Egypt and Israel for 100+ Soldiers.
