OBJECTIVE:
A highly motivated and technically skilled professional seeking a position
in the chemical/polymer industry to expand skills, knowledge and experience
with polymeric materials, product process development and pilot plant
operations which will be an asset for your organization.
Industrial experience:
From February 2010 to the present, I hold the position of R&D Engineer II
and Polymer Technology Specialist at DAK Americas LLC. In this position, I
am responsible for
. Developing in-house resin/polymer/fiber R&D facilities
. Developing new products and processes in the R&D Lab using lab scale
polymerization reactor units and successfully scale up the processes
at pilot plants to the commercialization
. Developing new products related to bio-polymers, barrier resins,
blends and specialty polymers, new and novel catalysts and additives,
post-consumer and post-industrial recycle polymers, new polymer
formulations, fiber technology
. Leading the commercialization of new products and processes as well as
provide process, product and fundamental technical support for both
internal and external interfaces
. Process development in polymer compounding, injection molding and blow
molding
. Serving as a liaison to universities and/or external contract research
facilities
. Training the technical members of the team and technicians to handle
and operate R&D Lab instruments by following standard procedure,
proper precaution with industrial safety practice
. Presenting the results in detail to the R&D team and management
members on the quarterly basis
I also had the eight weeks Industrial (In Plant) Training at Alkyl Amines
Chemicals Ltd., Pune, India.
I lead a group of three Chemical Engineer Interns to prepare reports
related to design and heat calculation of distillation column of Ethylene
Amine Reactor, to increase efficiency of Thermal Oil Heater, to increase
efficiency of Baggase Boiler.
