• Providing Contract Engineering to AT&T for the outside plant telephone network.
• Obtain field notes, design, and CAD construction drawings for AT&T and their construction contractors placing cable. Familiar with trenching, boring, splicing, cable counts, aerial plant, buried plant, and underground plant design.
• Design and support for the placing of OSP cabling systems and electronics. VRAD design for the Charleston area PLS team. BAU (business as usual) design working including: MetroEthernet authorizations, FTTC initiative authorizations, Initial Facilities, etc.
• FMO compliant work experience. Familiar with the ACAS process and billing procedures.
• VRAD cabinet and cable placement experience for Project Light Speed. Alcatel ALP148,248, and 448 cabinet placement along with retrofitting existing cross boxes.
• Extensive and deep knowledge of AOTS, AOtX, OSPCM, OPEDS, FACS, BSTCAD.
• Experience with permitting process at all levels of government.
• Coordination obtaining easement acquisition interacting with right of way agents.
• Develop and maintain a close working relationship with AT&T planners, geo-managers, BIC engineers and support personnel on a daily basis to coordinate and complete work authorizations.
Ketchikan Public Utilities Telecommunications Division-Outside Plant Engineer

• Provided OSP Engineering design and support for the entire KPU telecommunications network.
• Implement triple play service to the citizens of Ketchikan. Designed and implemented Fiber To The Home bringing fiber optic phone service to the city of Ketchikan.
• Designed FTTH using Corning pre-terminated fiber optic distribution cabling systems.
