Project:
Basically HUB is a core banking application build on Iseries.
All systems (internal and external) send-receive the information to HUB for main processing. From account opening to account closing, funds deposit to funds transfer to anywhere in the world will be validated in this application. HUB processes the information and sends back the result to the other applications whether it’s an exception or success of a process. Currently, HUB handles the report printing for Balance sheet re-conciliation, statements (both customer and account levels), exceptions reporting and many more.
Some of the applications which are linked to HUB are ATM, Internet Banking, Treasury, Global payment system, CACS and many more.
Responsibilities:
• First Line Support (Fire Fighting) for both Online (bank work hours) and Offline (Non- banking hours i.e. batch support).

This function existed in the Core programs but not in Local programs. For this many of the local programs have been changed.

Project : TOPAS – Toyota Parts Automation System

Project:
TOPAS stands for TOYOTA PARTS AUTOMATION SYSTEM. This project is currently running in TKML (TOYOTA KIRLOSKAR MOTOR LTD). TKML is a subsidiary of TMC (world’s largest manufacturer of automobiles). TKML manufactures passenger cars; MPV’s and services the customers by providing spare parts through large dealer network. TOPAS is mainly build on Inventory control parameters and Just In Time Logistics of Toyota.
TOPAS is the main application system used to control all the Ware house operations i.e., stock maintenance for all the parts, placing orders to the suppliers and sending the parts to the customers with the invoice. Taxation and Pricing for all the parts based on the region is maintained in TOPAS. TOPAS receives the information regarding the ordered parts from TMC (Toyota Motor Corporation, JAPAN) and TMAP (Toyota Motor Asia Pacific, Singapore) on daily, weekly and monthly basis. The orders received from the customers are prioritized and shipped accordingly.
It generates a report on monthly basis containing all the billing information and sends the same to the finance server.
Responsibilities:

Barcode Project is an Enhancement to the existing TOPAS system. In-order to achieve better quality plus productivity in way of performing ware house operations barcode project is been implemented.
The processes that are considering in the Barcode project are Receiving (Receiving parts in to TKM) and Shipping (Sending parts to the dealers)
The main processes under Receiving are
a) Container unloading.
b) Sorting.
c) Binning.
Bar-coded labels are generated for all the parts and the IMU’s (Inter Movable Units). The handy terminal used to scan the parts and IMU’s has got a small screen. Whenever a part is scanned its location, part name and the quantity present will be displayed so that user can easily bin in respective place.
The main processes under Shipping are
a) Picking
b) Case packing.
During allocation of parts Bar-coded Picking slips are generated. When user scans picking slips it will display the party number, part name, location of the part and the quantity to be picked.
