SUMMARY:

I am an experienced geophysicist, currently managing a seismic data processing and reservoir services group for a major geophysical services provider, looking for a new challenge. I am widely experienced in oil and gas exploration and have a good track record of fulfilling the quality and timing needs of the projects I am responsible for.

I have managed a number of centers internationally, with a strong emphasis on marketing, sales, tendering and business development. I have a track record of increasing the client base and revenue of centers, and ensuring that the results are delivered meeting the quality and timing expectations of the clients.

I take a hands-on attitude to management, and have excellent technical abilities in seismic processing and interpretation, enabling me to remain closely involved in any work performed, supervising, advising and guiding to ensure optimum results. These technical abilities include time and depth processing, 4D processing, AVO analysis, etc.

My international experience has given me the ability to operate successfully in many environments, and to deal proactively with new challenges and opportunities. I have an excellent knowledge of geophysics, and geophysical operations and extensive experience dealing with the needs of oil companies, both technically and in terms of doing business. I am experienced in project management and the management of budgets and have strong inter-personal and presentational skills. I am also experienced in the implementation, management and auditing of quality and HSE systems.

EXPERIENCE:

Country Manager 2008- 2011

Geotrace Oil Exploration Services, Cairo, Egypt

Ran $3m turnaround data processing and reservoir services operation.

Expanded business through an industry recession. Consolidated work with existing clients and extended client base within the country and across the middle east.

Overseeing all aspects of data processing operations for ongoing work. Processing 2d and 3d land, marine and OBC data. Oversaw all aspects of data processing, testing, production and QC.

Liaised with other centers to ensure maximum revenue generated within the company worldwide.

Data Processing Manager 2007- 2008

PGS, Moscow, Russia

Planned inception of data processing operation in Moscow in 2007.

Opened up processing operation in 2007 and expanded into new premises in 2008.

Hired operational and support team.

Marketing and sales: Made industry contacts and tendered for in country work. $1.4m+ of work secured for remainder of 2008.

Liaising with other business units to maximize revenue stream for the parent company.

Remote Processing Manager. 2005- 2007

PGS Geophysical,

Developing processing centres across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and CIS regions.

Successful processing centre opened in Lagos. Planned operation, secured contracts and recruited personnel. Centre then commenced running projects worth in excess of $1m per year.

Developed operation in Luanda. Previously small scale processing operation built up to center running projects worth in excess of $1m in collaboration with other centers within the region.

Provided operational support to major processing centre in Almaty.

Commenced development of Moscow operation.

Opened small processing centre in Pau, France.

Marine Data Processing Manager. 2001-2005

PGS Geophysical Cairo.

Managing all aspects of major data processing operation in Egypt. Processing of many thousands of square kilometers of data for major customers in the region including long running technical alliance with a major international oil company. Revenue and workload more than doubled to in excess of $2m per year. Implemented quality assurance system and certified entire centre to ISO9001.

Overseeing projects on 2d and 3d data – pre-stack time and depth migrations, OBC processing, AVO analysis.

PGS Geophysical Oslo.

Assisting management of Oslo operation. Involved in all operational aspects: bid submission and client liaison, overseeing production, testing and quality control.

Processing seismic data from various regions including West Africa, UK and Norway. Overseeing all aspects of work, including testing, processing, quality assurance and client liaison.
