My responsibilities for maintaining these machines included the rebuilding of Clamps which includes replacing molds, platinum’s, tie bars, toggle links, bearings, pin’s, rotacs, slides and the adjustment of the carriage. I replaced barrel and screw, thrust bearing, heater bands, blowers, Enron electrical controls, gear box seals air cylinders heater block and dye heads and mandrels, this also included maintenance to the Hydraulic systems and Air systems where I replaced motors, pumps, double A valves, heat exchangers swing arm rotacs, accumulator bags, hoses, o-rings shot cylinders, pneumatic valves, blow pin air cylinders, safety switches and valves. My responsibilities on the electrical aspect of these machines required me to replace safety door switches, selector switches coils, push buttons, Allen Bradley relays and contacts, I replaced photo eye sensors, micro limit switches, starters, heater and heater bands, and all timers. In conjunction with the extrusion machine I maintained the following units: Four low boys, which at times required the replacement of the cooling bed rods, shafts, sprockets, chain, motor and gear box, Allen Bradley starter, contactors and timer. Four trimmers, which needed the replacement of buckets, chains, sprockets, shafts, bearings, counter weights and electric brake motor and counter. Replaced safety switches, Rebuilt and or replaced all oil seals, and the replacement of all electrical contacts. The hole detector’s maintenance required me at times to replace air cylinders, air valves electronic pressure valves, and Integrated circuit boards. My duties also involved maintaining the Bottle Pusher, Annealing Tunnel and Alpine units. Where at times required the replacement of heating elements, fuses, speed control sensor, photo eye sensors, pulleys, gearbox and sprockets.

Eight Lord Labelers - By maintaining the labelers, I calibrated and programmed the System One Lord labelers, replaced AC Motors and or brushes, speed control IC boards, shaft, clutches breaks, rollers, and control boxes.

One Trine Machine (4500 High Speed Wrap Labeler) - I have replaced the bearings, shafts, blades photo eye sensor, glue pumps, heaters and heater elements, encoder timing component, soft touch screen, Reset clutches and vacuum pump. Reset or calibrated machine timing.

Three Comag Sleeve Labelers - Replaced clamp rubbers, clamp springs photo eye sensor, input/output contacts, electric brake, polyurethane drive wheel, tie rod ends, gear box motors, encoder timing component, reset clutches and calibrated machine timing.

Three Domino Line Daters & Three Image Line Printer - Monitored and maintained ink and additive levels. Both units required the replacement of motors, ink pumps, vacuum pumps, filters, lines, and fittings. Adjustments to electrical charge plates and ink to gutter, adjustments to format style print out. Machine to line speed adjustments also needed to be made.

Three De-Bagging Tables - Air cylinders, table top chains, slide cylinders, photo eye sensors, relay switches tie rod ends push button control switches, motors and drives all needed rebuilding or replacement.

I assist in the planning of internal departmental upgrades, which includes instructing and delegating to hired subcontractors necessary to complete the restructure and layout of the department. I maintain all equipment manuals, operation guides and Blue print schematics of all department machinery. These documents were used as a valuable troubleshooting resource for me on all the equipment I was held accountable for. I was responsible for ordering and maintaining the stock supply for all of the machinery at which times required cross-referencing and retrofitting parts. I maintain all machinery as well as eliminating as much down time as possible on first shift during which is the heaviest production time. Training in GPM’s, SOP’s, Lock out Tag out and SQF.
