Project Overview:

HSBC origins in India date back to 1853, when the Mercantile Bank of India was established in Mumbai. The Bank has since, steadily grown in reach and service offerings, keeping pace with the evolving banking and financial needs of its customers.HSBC, the Bank offers a comprehensive suite of world-class products and services to its corporate and commercial banking clients as also to a fast growing personal banking customer base.

Details:

Mass maintenance is a work stream which controls the data of all the other workstreams. To enquire the data or to maintain the data of a particular detail and the user security checks are done through mass maintenance. Mass maintenance coordinates with the front end which uses the Java Screens.

Taxation Provides various functions in forms of Batch and Online services for calculation of tax to levied on the various OHCB products. It’s also provides control set up screens that help the business to define rules and criteria for the tax calculation and application.

Taxation functionalities can be classified into 5 functional groups:

• Interest Tax

• Service Tax

• Transaction Tax

• Maintenance

• Tax Break Products

These functionalities can be further refined into Control Setup Functions, Calculation and

Application Services.

Description:

The project TANGO 10P PAM is a project undertaken jointly by ING Bank’s Application Management and Project’s (PAM) department. ING Bank and Dutch Bank, Post Bank have joined their businesses. As a part of joining their businesses, these two banks also wish to combine and consolidate their data processing. The basic purpose of this project is to modify post bank mainframe programs to accommodate 10-digit account numbers. Post bank’s mainframe systems are built on a data model incorporating a 7-digit account number where as ING bank account numbers have up to 10 digits. As part of this request, Post bank’s system is enabled to handle ING’s Customers.
