Winter, 2015 - Finely National Refuge, Corvallis, OR

Field Sampling Researcher

Collected data with a team of students to target the mean abundance of ungulates in three different habitats.

•Conducted an observational survey on comparing ungulate population densities in either the oak savannah, the forest, or a man-made apple orchard

•Located ungulate scat and tracks using transects

•Worked with a team of three other students on a research project in and out of the field

•Team presentation on our experiment was given to the entire class

Summer, 2016 - Research Technician- Oregon State University Research Farm

Seasonal employee for a particular summer project at Oregon State University Research Farm.

•Careful harvest of 27 varieties of squash for research analysis

•Assisted with research by considering the species, the plot density and water availability • Processed squash to be sent for scientific analysis

Volunteer Position:

February 5th 2021 to June 12th - Chintimini Wildlife Center, Corvallis, OR

Wildlife rehabilitation volunteer in the intensive care unit and the rehabilitation housing. The goal is to release wildlife back into the wild.

•Preparing diets for many wild birds that have moved to small rooms

•Cleaning the rooms and giving each patient flight time in their environment

•Capturing and weighing the patients weekly

•Preparing habitat in large aviaries for those in their last stage of recovery • Preforming cleaning and feeding task in the large aviaries

Seasonal park ranger at River Bend Park. This was a day use park that had a large campground with cabins and yurts.

•Basic ranger task of collecting camping fees from a locked box

•Recorded occupied sites and other campsite information

•Patrolled campground while enforcing park regulations

•Educated the public on park rules and recreational availabilities
