Jam an ASCP certified Clinical Laboratory Scientist with 11 years of experience in various laboratory settings. In my early career, was eager to learn as many areas of the laboratory as possible. As opportunity presented, I was able to perform and see many things, done in various ways, and in a variety of settings. I consider it a privilege to have been afforded so many opportunities. Currently working as the Lab supervisor for a specialty lab for Maternal Fetal Medicine. Performing Maternal testing, including: Group B Strep by PCR with susceptibility testing as needed. EIA Hormones and infectious disease screening. Molecular testing for GC and Chlamydia. Various instrumentation, Beckman DXI, Cobas 5800 Molecular, Bio-Rad Evolis, Revogene PCR. Supervisory Role includes daily tasks of Quality Assurance and Quality Control documentation. Freezer monitoring system for Research Biorepository specimens. CAP proficiencies kept up to date.
