Project Title: Designing a Robust Lab-Scale Electrocoagulation Reactor for the Removal of Micro- and Nanoplastics from Drinking Water
• Conducted an extensive literature review to assess the effectiveness of electrocoagulation (EC) under varying electrochemical conditions, water quality parameters, and nanolastic characteristics.
• Designed and constructed a lab-scale electrocoagulation reactor with adjustable settings for voltage, current density, and electrode configuration to optimize performance.
• Investigated the efficiency of the reactor in removing nanoplastics under controlled operating conditions (5V with current densities of 10mA, 25mA, and 50mA), providing valuable insights for large- scale application.
