PROFESSIONAL WORK EXPERIENCE

Department of Defense March 2020 – Present

Mechanical Engineer Technician

Designed programs and selected materials for processing for various departments on 100 percent of the jobs performed on the Waterjet.

Created customer designs and manufactured components to be utilized at customer facilities upon request to secure customer deals.

Setup programs and process several mechanical components for customers through diagrams provided daily.

Tested and analyzed components utilizing QC machines and Optical Comparators to ensure parts are made in relation to certified specifications for “pass” or “fail” tolerances and stress analysis.

Performed in house mechanical pump rebuild on Omax Waterjet machine utilizing own skills, schematics, and tools provided. I saved about $1000 on an assessment visit, repair, and prevented extended down time by performing the duties that are normally outsourced to contractors to complete on a yearly basis.

Improved production and productivity for multiple departments by 25 percent by customizing machine programs to mass produce quantities of different components for various machine operators within hours, which reduced lead time by weeks.

Produced customizable programs for R&D machining of customer material. This is for processing purposes to determine whether different machine tactics are possible for feasible manufacturing. This improved lead times and production by 20 percent.

Acuitive Technologies Feb. 2019 – Mar. 2020

Manufacturing Lab Technician

Synthesizing chemicals to create a polymer in the creation of orthopedic slugs.

Concentrating polymer by mixing it with compound powder to create composite material to mold in the heated hydraulic press.

Grinding, sanding, and staining slugs for samples to be sent out and machined to orthopedic screws.

Accu-Sealing parts of powder for different stages of production.

Operating Hydraulic Press and lathe to machine create and machine orthopedic material Sifting and blending Cap HA powder and utilizing calibrated scales, calipers, to assess material for density and weight.

Zimmer Biomet Sep. 2018 – Jan. 2019

EDM Operator

Reviewing operating procedures and programing G-code into machine program to produces finished goods.

Utilizing blueprints/schematics to produce products and inspect finished parts before they are transported to Quality Control.

Drying parts in an oven after wire EDM processing and performing 5s line clearance.

Utilizing calipers, micrometers, pin gauges, drop gauges and various other measuring devices to inspect parts before moving them to the next station in the process.

MTF Biologics Sep. 2017 – Sep. 2018

Processing Technician

Cutting Donor Tissue that comes into the facility to size by removing fat from the donor and extracting layers of the dermis to desired levels of tissue for specific use.

Sterilizing clean rooms and suites after processing of each donor in the suites.

Gowning in and working in an aseptic environment.

Using various instruments to process the donor tissue such as scalpel, thickness gauges, Slicer, Sealers, Scales and various other pieces of equipment and then recording pertinent information in the batch records for each donor.
