Post-Accident Safety Policy
It is in the best interests of the Company and employees to consider health and safety equal to production and quality. Since these factors are managed on a day-to-day basis, the health and safety program will benefit ALL employees by implementing the following principles at each work location. It is the Company’s policy to use all available means of communication, training and monitoring techniques to assure that every reasonable precaution is taken to prevent accidents. Even though every precaution is taken, employees may encounter hazards which cannot be avoided. Therefore, employees should at all times follow good common sense safety habits. Employees must always use the safety equipment that is provided for their protection. Unsafe conditions and practices MUST be reported to a supervisor or another member of management immediately. ANY accident or illness on the job regardless of how minor it may seem is to be reported to a supervisor or a member of management immediately. Where an injury is not recognized immediately, it should be reported as soon as possible upon recognition.
Employees who choose to seek treatment from their own medical provider after a workplace incident must promptly report to the Company-selected drug testing facility within 6 hours of the incident. The drug test results will be sent directly to the Company for assessment. Unless under extreme circumstances, employees who do not comply with the drug testing requirements within the specified 6-hour window will not be permitted to resume work until the test is completed. Furthermore, progressive disciplinary measures, including termination, may be enforced. Failure to report an accident or workplace illness may result in corrective action up to and including termination.
Unsafe Conduct - Horseplay, practical jokes, fighting, or roughhouse activities of any sort are not permitted on jobsite property.
Failure to Report Incidents and Injuries - All unsafe conditions must be reported. All injuries and job-related illnesses, no matter how slight, must be reported immediately to supervision who will then direct the employee for treatment. Where an injury is not recognized immediately, it should be reported as soon as possible upon recognition. Employee Signature Date
