IT Director: Responsible for the management and staffing of the IT department. Main directives were analysis of business processes leading to recommendations on improvements and cost cutting measures.
Researched and formulated a proposal with timelines and ROI justifying a purchase of SBS 2011 and a VMWare server for the purpose of migrating the credit union environment to Exchange, AD and WSUS.
Successfully proposed, planned, and managed the migration of the entire server environment to a VMWare solution, saving the credit union over $20,000 in server replacement costs and increasing critical process uptime dramatically.
Planned, proposed, and established a replacement for the internal website. The long-term initiative was to replace the main web site with a community “Facebook” like webpage for employees and members.
Directed the IT team through analyzing the current document database and storage process leading to a formal proposal. This resulted in a successful implementation of the new document management and MFP printer/scanner solution. The result was significant savings and efficiencies by reconfiguring the database to conform to the company’s document retention schedule and eliminated the need for a carrier service as well as process improvement and lowering per page costs with the new printers.
