2000 – 2013
ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT, IDAHO STATE UNIVERSITY
I was the Administrative Assistant the Mathematics Department at Idaho State University. I maintained departmental records, particularly budgets, personnel files, student evaluations, syllabi, final exams and textbook orders. Arranged the purchasing of material and supplies. I was responsible for completing all travel documents. Coordinated textbook orders with the Faculty, Publishers and the Bookstore. Supervised office staff assigning, tasks, and verifying satisfactory completion of the work. I screened departmental mail as directed by the chair. Provided routine information about such things as schedules, math requirements and policies to students and University staff and directing non-routine questions to appropriate persons. Create and maintain electronic records such as databases for job applicants and graduate applications. Collecting information, generating reports and completing forms as needed, including book orders, class schedules, student evaluations and budget synopses. Typing memos, correspondence, and technical documents as requested by Faculty and arranging for photocopies. I was responsible for overseeing prerequisite checks and setting computer permit codes according to Departmental and University policies. I managed facilities, such as assigning office space and reserving rooms for tests and colloquiums.

I was responsible for answering and directing all incoming telephone calls. I typed memos, reminders and letters. I created forms, merge documents and databases. I was responsible for filing, ordering supplies and sorting mail for more than 50 departmental personnel. I checked student pre-requisites, removing blocks or referring them to the appropriate sources for corrections.
