Responsibilities

Presently working as a Sr. Engineer in Coal Handling Plant – O&M (Capacity-2850 TPH) at Nabha Power Ltd. (2 X 700 MW) since March 2023 to till date. The capacity of Power plant 1400MW (2x700 MW) and capacity of Coal Handling Plant 2x2850 TPH.

Ensure complete CHP operations for timely unloading, stacking and coal conveying the rakes; maintain all process-related documents. Ensure 100% safety with proper handling of types of equipment and manpower. Carry out frequent checks on the healthiness of equipment & housekeeping. Also, carry out safe wagon tippler operations. Ensure the proper isolation of electrical power for carrying out safe & efficient maintenance activities.

Monitor equipment in a predictive and protective manner to reduce breakdown time.

Insure all PTW are issued and LOTO (Lock-out-Tag-out) systems follow properly.

Identify modification plans for system improvement and cost benefits.

Train contract operators on safe operation, safety, and using PPE and also attend technical & management training to improve skills.

Maintain housekeeping in all CHP area and avoid dangerous activities and reporting any safety hazards which is harmful.

Coordinate with main plant operation team and Coal logistic team for proper Bunker Feeding. Unloading coal rake in time to avoid demurrage.

Maintaining IMS system and implementing in daily routine job and preparing document of work or activity. Making Proper incident document and HIRA chart for proper and safe operation.

Presently working as an Engineer in Coal Handling Plant – Operation (Capacity-2000 TPH) at DB Power (2 X 600 MW) since March 2019 to till date. The capacity of Power plant 1200MW (2x600 MW) and capacity of Coal Handling Plant 2x2000 TPH.

Managing rake unloading at given time with safety and maintenance of WAGON TIPLLER, Proficiency in Operation of Coal Handling Plant, procedures and methods; diagnosing, monitoring and controlling operation costs.

Execution of all Minor & Major Planned for CHP-Operations Jobs, Annual coal stock and MIS reports Manpower Handling, Quality Production, Rake unloading minimization and Coal Yard Management, SAP-MM module & Housekeeping.

Effective communicator with proficiency in communicating at all level of the management & Wage board staff, analytical, problem solving & organizational abilities

Monitoring of process parameters during plant operation & identification and implementing operation strategies for conservation of energy.
