Job Purpose: To manage the Human Resources Department, ensuring that HR policies, process and procedures are aligned with United Laboratories Company’s strategic objectives. HR Planning, Policies & Strategy:

Participate in the development of HR strategy and annual business plans, budgets, policies and procedures.

Supervise the daily rollout of HR processes, policies and procedures, namely covering: government relations, compensation, recruitment, retention, payroll and training & development.

Develop and lead the execution of the career development strategy.

Set the fundamental schedule of career development activities annually.

Custodian of maintaining the job descriptions.

Recruitment, Selection & Termination

Assist in creating the company's strategic recruitment and selection plan.

Oversee the timely recruitment of candidates in line with the manpower plan and Kuwaitization policy.

Accountable for termination and resignation of all employees. Training & Development

Design and develop training and development function, ensure training strategy is being implemented by training & development section/unit effectively to ensure employees are getting suitable trainings.

Reward & Retention

Develop progressive, proactive compensation and benefits programs to ensure United laboratories Company’s competitive positioning in order to recruit and retain high caliber staff.

Formulate appropriate reward plans and practices, staying up to date with market compensation trends and practices in the markets wherein Al Massaleh competes for talent.

Responsible for retention of staff.

Plan, execute and monitor annual appraisal process and benchmark key performance indicators. 2

Payroll & Administration

Check on a monthly basis of the payroll advice to enable Finance to make timely salary payment and ensure payments to the Social Security are accurate.

Maintenance of employee records and files.

Supervise attendance, leave, insurance and employee loans process.

Counsel and address employee issue.

Other responsibilities

Provide guidance and assistance to department managers and employees to understand the company’s applicable HR policy and procedure.

Work with senior management in developing the company’s strategy and contributing to making administrative decision to meet and benefit the company’s goals.

Attend weekly meetings with department managers to ensure that the work team operates together to achieve the company’s goals.

Understand the labor law in force for the private sector in the state of Kuwait and change the policy based on updates or amendments in force in the country MARCH 2005 – JUNE 2008
