Provided programming done in partnership with Cargill, Cooking Matters, and Save our children.

As a peer Nutrition Educator went out into Elementary’s and High School’s, Senior Assisted Living and Community based centers to share cooking and good nutrition to those eligible for SNAP Assistance. Provided Food demonstrations in proper cooking techniques, and healthier eating practices according to USDA guidelines

2008 –2014 1st Peer elected Co-Chair for the 1st Minneapolis Food Council and Founding Advisor and Board member for The Minnesota Food Charter and The Minnesota Food Council

Program coordinator, North Point Health and Wellness Inc. (Former Pilot CITY).

Started out as a receptionist at this well-known community hub in North Minneapolis, for a few years, then went on to running the largest food shelf in Minnesota, it truly was the best job in the world. Having done this job successfully for four years, I was given a project partnering with BCBS of MN to increase healthy food access on the North side of MPLs successfully built a coalition of 83 community partners and began the organization known as Northside Fresh!

The first peer elected Co- Chair of the Minneapolis Food Council a past advisor and Board Member to the Minnesota Food Charter. A proud veteran serving 1981- 1989 in the US Army my Army Service ribbons include, The Army Overseas Ribbon having served in both W. Germany and in South Korea. The Army Achievement Medal 3 oakleaf clusters, The Good Conduct Medal, Marksmanship Badge, and the driver and Mechanic badge with Bar.
