Implemented the MSDE guidelines for accreditation including executing the Maryland State Child Care Credential criteria for all staff in the center. Researched and implemented state approved curriculums for Play and Learn centers for each age group. Created and developed lesson plans that support the curriculum. Applied for and was awarded grants for Title II-A nonpublic schools since 2011 and the Pre-K Expansion Grant for 2014-2015. The center was involved in many state pilot programs such as STEM, Best Beginnings, Asthma and Allergy Child Care Initiative and the “Let’s Move” campaign. MSDE Accredited since August 2010. Hunt Valley was the first Play and Learn to be published with EXCELS while achieving a level 4 rating. Responsible for all marketing for the center, including contacting local schools, agencies, and businesses to advertise our program at no charge. Coordinated opportunities to participate in local and national events such as Race for a Cure, Tot Swap and Creative Kids.
