Staff level position responsible for day-to-day management responsibility of 450,000 square feet manufacturing facility-producing variety of large military defense and commercial products. Multiple shift operation covering 10 individual buildings spanning 85 acres. Responsible for 300 IAM union employees as well as Operations supervision. Responsible for creation, management, and monitoring adherence to all program and departmental budgets. Responsible for facility resource planning and forecast within multiple classifications. In support of the company strategic direction and goals, my duties include evaluate, revise, and/or develop new short & long-term goals/ objectives and performance measurement standards for the facility as well as reporting and monitoring status of all metrics. In support of VP Site Lead responsible for development of plant Capital budget and execution of those projects on schedule and within budget.

Specialized in launching new production programs and getting them to steady state before handing off.

Staff level position responsible for the production build and delivery of armored roof sections subcontracted to Navistar International to be integrated in MRAP military vehicles. Prior to production launch of armored roof program, served in interim relief management role in troubled Leonardo facilities in Bridgeport, CT. and Cincinnati, OH.

Responsible for directing production activity of Postal Pak Unloaders for United States Postal Service. Achieving production rates of one system per day, these units were delivered, and installed in Bulk Mail Handling Centers throughout the United States. System deliveries and program support were so successful that Leonardo was awarded the USPS Large Supplier Quality Award for their performance and execution of program demands.

Lead materials position supporting/managing the USPS line of business for the facility. Provided day-to-day material/production control support of a 60,000 square ft. facility producing various products utilized in bulk mail handling facilities across the United States. Responsibilities included the management of a 50,000 square ft. leased warehouse 100 miles west in Springfield, Mo. that served as a distribution center for products produced. Managed all inbound and outbound shipments, including deliveries of finished goods to USPS facilities all over the US. These shipments were graded on a one-hour delivery window at destination and we achieved a 98.5% on time delivery rating while underrunning transportation budget by 450K.
