Sole liaison for the department of medicine chief residents. Assists in medical screening and evaluation of outside hospital transfer requests that come to UCLA for tertiary care or repatriation, now with added COVID screening. Evaluations and assessments include discussions with outside hospital physicians, RNs, case managers, and internal specialists/consultants. Triaging, prioritization, constant evaluation of tertiary needs is ongoing and measured via quarterly data collection.
ADMINISTRATIVE RN- RONALD REAGAN UCLA MEDICAL CENTER

Acted as the RN liaison for allocation and management of beds throughout the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center and UCLA Santa Monica Hospital. Working closely with the charge nurses, doctors, and nursing supervisors it is the nucleus of the entire hospital where beds is not only scarce, but a precious commodity. Responsibilities include allotting for adequate staffing, prevention of “bed hiding,” and admissions are processed in a timely manner. Transfer of patients from outside facilities with high levels of acuity are coordinated through this department.
CRITICAL CARE CORRDINATOR-GARFIELD MEDICAL CENTER

As the charge nurse I had a dual role of delivering direct patient care utilizing the nursing process and overseeing all three of Garfield’s separate intensive care units and its staff nurses. I have experience with diverse patient populations that can range from cardiothoracic patients to stroke patient. In addition, the charge nurse role precludes that you collaborate with staff in maintaining exemplary standards in nursing practice, provision of sound leadership, and triaging within all three units. I serve as an educational resource overseeing nurses of all experience levels. Responding to all code blues and serve as a member of the rapid response team while collaborating with the nurse manager and nursing supervisor.

Duties included: Hemodynamic monitoring; AV fistulas; direct care of patients, educating patients for home care and discharge planning, care plan creation and administration; NG/Sump & Peg tubes, medication administration, care of post operative cardiothoracic patients. I was active on the medication and visitation policy committee and have participated in multiple CAL-NOCs, among other unit centric activities.
