I am a hardworking, trustworthy and honest final year Biomedical Engineering student at Ulster University, who has recently completed a 14-month placement with a leading international biomedical engineering company. I have acquired both academic knowledge and extensive practical workplace skills. I managed marketing programmes with the objective of obtaining extensive post market data and developed processes for validating published product standards.

Across all these processes I demonstrated I can be relied on to complete any allocated task, displaying a high level of personal responsibility, commitment, and a strong work ethic. This was formally recognised by my company through the provision of an award. I am full of enthusiasm and seeking an opportunity to develop further as an engineering professional. • Managed “Free of Charge Pad-Pak” and “Forward Hearts” programmes with the objective of obtaining extensive post market data

• Previously was captain of secondary school extracurricular activity ‘Dance Club’. This role allowed me to take control of the club and I learnt how to communicate well so everyone understands their role and actions. Through this role, conflicts were resolved in a mature manner

• Previously deputy captain in Ulster University Cheerleading team, as well as secretary. In the council of a university club, maintaining the club morale levels to ensure everyone was welcome and there was no discriminatory practice Team working

• Whilst on placement I worked work in a large team to ensure tasks were achieved quickly and effectively. Frequently I had to work with teams from other departments such as dispatch, regulatory or clinical to complete projects

• In module ‘Professional studies’, three other colleagues and I worked together to research and create a presentation. This involved strong communication skills, being noble and working well in a team to ensure the presentation is completed punctually and to the finest standard

• Due to participating in dancing competitions I had to work in a team to execute routines as synchronised. This involves trusting other colleges, but also working independently to match the standard Organised

• I was allocated responsibility for induction training for new employees. To ensure that there was a comprehensive and consistent approach I developed a training program. This consisted of PowerPoint and multi-media presentations accompanied by practical handling of the products. This meant over 12 months, all new employees received the same level of induction training

• When choreographing, the secondary school play and the Dance Club competition I kept a close eye on schedules and timing to maintain the activities were complete in time and everyone was confident in their roles Interests and achievements

• Captain of the secondary school Dance Club in 09/2016 and awarded deputy captain in Ulster University Cheerleading in 09/2018. To have been awarded this post I have shown leadership and organisational skills

• Choreographed both teams’ participation in competition, N.I.C.M.A.C, and elements of the school play. I represented dance club in multiple competitions; has resulted in receiving the award of an Honours Blazer. This indicates that I work well in a team, have good communication skills and organisational skills

• Clean driving License with access to transport. Demonstrates patience, responsibility and trustworthiness. These attributes are desirable for working in an engineering firm

• Volunteering in Crèche. Being involved in crèche requires me to show compassion and to be a caring individual

• Represented in the English Youth Ballet in a production ‘Sleeping Beauty’, as well as performed in major public events such as "Burns Night" at the Waterfront Hall. To achieve my level of attainment in dance I have had to demonstrate the ability to work hard, remain consistently focused on my objectives, overcome setbacks and show personal commitment
