Process Development / Enhancement

Designing non-infringing route for the allotted project and analyzing its feasibility with different schemes.

Optimizing the selected scheme with strong what-if studies.

Key driver for process development, control and implementation of the process in plant.

Reviewing the operational practices, identify the areas of obstruction / quality failures and work on system and process changes for qualitative improvement/ energy conservation.

Streamlining efforts for process enhancement & improving operational efficiencies.

Conducting research of existing process & accordingly carry out improvement on existing process.

Ensuring that the impurities below LOD are established at the time of development itself and controlling impurities at the penultimate state.

Technical Skills

Feasibility of the selected scheme and generation of the samples as per the market requirements.

Capability to isolate the impurities by different methods i.e., using methods like chromatography and flash chromatography, etc.

Chiral impurity separation by selective or diasteriomeric salt separation method.

Synthesis of metabolites and critical impurities.

Identification and characterization of Impurities using methods like LC/MS, MS-MS

Focus on plant issues at the time of process development itself.

Verifying analytical data like HPLC, GC, UV, IR, NMR and Mass and predicting the compounds.

Adequate knowledge in International Conference on Harmonization (ICH) Guidelines.

Carrying out experiment from milligram scale to multi-Kilograms plant scale.

Calibration of laboratory equipments.

Good knowledge of literature search (Sci-Finder and ISI web of knowledge and Scopus), writing scientific manuscripts and research projects.
