Summary
Over the course of the last 9 months, I have gained extensive training in the surgical technology field. I originally applied to this course because I was so intrigued with surgery, but little did I know that I would come to find a passion for it. When I say there is no place like the OR, I honestly mean it to my core. I first began to seek a career in health care, due to my passion for helping others, but little did I know it would be so rewarding; That feeling when a case has successfully been finished, is indescribable. While going to school to become a surgical technologist, and doing my clinical rotation, I have learned to work under the stress and pressure of being in the operating room, while maintaining a sterile field. As well as the skills I have listed, I believe in having strong integrity. I always do the right thing, even when no one is looking. I believe in being responsible and reliable, because after all, people are depending on you.
