Ashley N. Arthur 813-***-**** adi5t3@r.postjobfree.com
Hello! My name is Ashley Arthur (she/her/hers). I have just finished teaching at Matignon High School and I am looking to get involved in communities with missions that support people in wholistic ways. I have previously earned my MTS at Boston College and my MA in Theology from Notre Dame while working as a full-time Campus Minister, Advisor, and Director at Florida State University. For the past 8-10 years, my life has been devoted to being a servant leader who is passionate about serving, learning, and engaging with people from all walks of life. One of the greatest lessons that I have learned in my line of community work is being open to new ideas, new people, and new ways of learning. I am comfortable and excel at meeting people where they are at, from all backgrounds, beliefs, and cultures. I am deeply passionate about serving those who have been oppressed and under-represented. My life’s work is to educate myself and others about the systems that have harmed individuals in one way or another and to right these wrongs as best as I can. I am comfortable working with individuals who have and are experiencing traumas. In working with students and adults who find themselves in chaotic situations, I recognize that a majority of my job has been to help build people up as whole persons: mind, body, and spirit. I attend to everyone as a whole person which in turn allows them the freedom to move forward in their development, at every stage. Professionally, I desire to build up my educational, developmental, and leadership skills and experience. Spiritually, I am looking to help whatever community I am called to serve to grow in trust, love, and understanding. Personally, I hope to participate in a community that I can learn from and further my knowledge of who I am as I help others do the same. Here is some of the relevant experience that I would bring to your specific community: I have over 10 years of experience working in community and leadership positions with all age groups which includes directing, managing, organizing, advising, and teaching. I have collaborated with many diverse groups of people developing long-term goals and creating programming appropriate to each group. I am more than comfortable leading, building, and promoting a healthy community. I spent time as a spiritual director and personal mentor for over 6 years, walking alongside students in their emotional and spiritual journey helping them to discern the next steps for their lives. I am quite passionate about service learning and giving back to the community. I have experience leading service trips, multicultural engagement opportunities, running events, working in development, and I am well- versed in social ethics and teaching.
I hope that this letter helps you to learn a little bit about who I am and if I would be a good fit for your community. Please feel free to get back to me via email or my cell. I hope to hear from you in the future.
In peace,
Ashley Arthur
