PERSONAL STATEMENT

I am an aspiring young graduate who is interested in attaining a challenging position in any growth-oriented organization, where knowledge and experience can be acquired, and leadership skills put to maximum use in all area of studies, which will translate into national and personal development. It is with this objective that I strive to be among the best in my field of study to help me make an impact on society.

My name is Shirley Akuoko, a 33-year-old Ghanaian lady who hails from Koforidua. I am a graduate of the University of Education, Winneba from which I received first degree in Bachelor of Business Administration in 2020. I have also completed a two year diploma in business studies as well as three year Higher National Diploma in Secretaryship & Management Studies programme from Kumasi Technical University in 2015.

In my profession, I work as an assistant administrator in Kumasi Technical University directly under the office of the Vice Rector. I have also gotten the opportunity to serve as data entry personnel as well as a facility consultant at Kimcart Company and AFS Ltd respectively. I have 8 years' working experience in management and administration. My duties include preparing, recording and reconciling financial transactions, verifying receipt and payment documentation, and preparation of special financial reports. In the extra-curricular activity, I have worked as a teacher at Rojel Montessori School in Kumasi. My duty was to prepare and organized learning environment to meet the needs and interest of the children.

My career objective is to work in a reputable organization where I can share and expand my abilities and skills in management and administration. I am a very responsible individual who loves to learn new things and to seek new experiences. I enjoy observing people around me and meeting others with understanding and respect. Through committee meetings and group assignments, I have gained more experience in leadership and human relationship and this has improved my communication skills. I have a passion for technology and enjoy reading and playing hockey.

Going forward, I am determined to achieve my career goals and I believe this position is the best decision for me going forward as it fits perfectly into my career path. I would very much like to have an opportunity to work with this reputable institution to demonstrate and share my skills, experience, and ideas.
