ACADEMIC PROJECTS:

Computational Analysis of Bio-Inspired Airfoil at Low Reynolds Number: May 2020 The objective of the project was to investigate the aerodynamic performance of a bio-inspired airfoil at low Reynolds number to explore the potential applications of such airfoils for micro air vehicles. Three airfoils were taken i.e. symmetrical airfoil, cambered airfoil and three corrugated bio-inspired airfoil and were analyzed for the aerodynamic behavior at 15m/s. From analysis, it is found that the bio-inspired airfoil generates more lift and less drag compare to conventional airfoils.
