Oct. 2019 – Present Midwest Glass Highland,MI

Shipping Manager

I am responsible for the workloads of the shifts. Since coming back to Midwest glass 3rd shift was working anywhere from 60 to 75 a week with 6 employees I had to analyze and measure out the work load they were doing and had to sequence the routes by the customer’s needs and had to redefine how we were getting the work done. I implemented teams and a schedule and goals and rewards for each team of what routes needed to be completed by each team to improve their speed and accuracy and to insure trucks left on time. With doing this we got a better control on the hours by 33 percent decrease a week with 8 employees. I also created lead positions to help be leaner with their productivity and use of our time.

Oct. 2018 – Oct. 2019 Pace Inc. Plymouth, MI

Warehouse Manager

I am responsible for all duties in the warehouse include improving the loading and unloading of trucks, pulling parts, packing parts and shipping them with a shipping computer program. I also analyzed the daily activity of all items that come in on a daily bases thru incoming trucks or ups or fedex. I am responsible for measuring out the work load for 10 employees and their hours to make sure all orders go out to the customer on a daily bases. I do a daily inventory of the warehouse by location until we have done every location in the warehouse to control the amount of inventory we carry and define the space needed for it so we can be lean and do first in first out. I do daily reports and weekly reports for what has left the inventory system and what has come in with what the inventory system says. I implemented that everything we use should have a place and every place should have something we to speed up productivity. We used an RF gun and a AS-400 system to receive and ship.

Shipping Manager

I am responsible for all Shipping & Receiving including dispatching of all trucks including sequencing routes for each truck per customer.

I provided reports to define what didn’t get shipped out that morning and contacting the customers with any shortages and when they will get the material. I would do a report on what times the trucks actually left that morning to analyze where we need to improve and get a better control. I ordered material supplies for production and shipping department, also ways to cut waste down. I scheduled all incoming and outgoing freight and freight cost with trucking companies. I was responsible for measuring the workload hours for 8 truck loaders and 12 truck drivers. I worked with Customer Service on invoicing for the correct pickup dates. I also worked with the Sales people on special orders of glass. I was the certified Hi-lo and Skyjack trainer for all employees. I also worked in production loading and unloading ovens and finding better ways to improve the work flow to the shipping department so products get out to our customers in a more lean matter.

June 2017 – Feb 2018 Webasto North Fenton,MI

Shipping Supervisor

I am responsible for all UPS and Fedex and truck shipments and suppling production with parts. I also handle inventory cycle counts and inventory problems and make sure we pick parts and bring parts in a FIFO matter. I was in charge of 16 employees working with customer service and the quality department. I handle all paperwork and record reports on everything we do. Worked with a AX system and Kewill system. I also helped out with production when they lost the production manager. I helped them set new work flow lines. I also set areas for incoming and finished parts for hi-lo drivers and production employees to make we are FIFO.

I am responsible for all loads leaving and returning to the yard. I handle

the inventory in the yard for quality and for dates of use. Talking with

Contractors to make sure we meet there needs and all there supplies. I also

trained all forklift drivers and new drivers on our process. Worked with production management and employees on work flow and productivity for a better inventory of supplies and finished goods.

I was responsible for all order pulling and staging for trucks to be loaded. I also restocked the material in a FIFO matter to insure the proper dates are being used. Also I prepared all dunnage for shipments to be shipped out to the several plant locations. I worked with management to set up staging areas for all loads and future loads so the trucks will get loaded in a timely matter. I also recorded all damaged product on a damaged report to the repacking area to ensure product was to be put back into stock in the proper order.

I was responsible for all Shipping & Receiving including all paperwork.

I provided ASN’s to customers and reported all Kamp and Chep

pallets. I ordered material supplies for production and worked

at cutting material supplies to save on cost, as well as, ways to cut

waste. I scheduled all incoming and outgoing freight and freight

costs. I was responsible for daily inventory and a weekly report for usage.

I also set up a Logistic plan for all inbound and outbound routes while

finding new trucking companies with lower rates with a cost savings of 20 to 30%. I was responsible for scheduling hours for 8 employees at 2 plants. I worked with Inventory Control Manager about daily inventory levels and material usage on a daily basis to see where most of our waste was coming from. I worked with Customer Service on invoicing for the correct pickup dates. I also worked with the Sales people for Bosco’s on supplying them with equipment for trade shows. I was the certified Hi-lo and Skyjack trainer for all employees. I also helped out on the production floor with work flow, placement of materials for production employees and 5’s areas for a more lean plant. Areas designated for finished products and helped with quality to present a good product.
