March 2010 Eaton County Youth Facility, Field placement.
(Implementation of Clay Wall therapy) Had an opportunity to spend a month with youth proposing and implementing a therapeutic outlet geared to minimize intense negative feelings and emotions.
Oct-April Charter House (CMH), Field placement. Provided assistance to Clubhouse members with his/her weekly, monthly and annual goals and objectives. Also, members were encouraged to visit my office for one on one talk therapy.
2009-Oct Detroit Central City Community Mental Health (DCC CMH), Field placement. Conducted weekly group therapy, discussing issues that were important to the member’s current needs. Provided psychotherapy once a week to high risk individuals.
2007-2009 St. Vincent Home for Children / Holy Cross Children Services, Field placement.
(Implementation of Clay Wall therapy) Had weekly sessions using the clay wall intervention. Provided the youth with life skills, awareness, and discussion in numerous groups throughout the week. Transported youth to and from school, appointments and any activity the youth were involved.
