3WYA / Player and volunteer
May 2015 - October 2016, Halifax and North Preston The 3WYA is a youth basketball organization that travels across North America to compete in basketball tournaments. In order to pay for tournaments, we fundraised by doing bottle drives, selling raffle tickets, going door-to-door, and having bake sales. This organization taught me how to approach customers, and how to properly display one’s product to make it appealing to the seller.

JOLT is a Jewish teen initiative led by former members that gives Jewish teens a space to interact, while creating community projects like volunteering, and helping at communal events. Some examples of what we did were donating clothes and toiletries to the Adsum House, making cookies for the Phoenix House, and co-officiating the Bladder Cancer walk and fundraiser. This organization enhanced my interaction skills with others, and how to initiate programs.

The Halifax Youth Council is a teen led organization that will host communal events primarily for Jewish teens, and the Jewish community. So far, we have had online programs, due to COVID-19 primarily for the teens like social media trends, but after COVID-19, we will hold communal gatherings to raise money for certain causes. Awards
