Atos/Xerox Business IT Systems Austin Tx 2012-2020

Solutions Architect

Assessed, analyzed, developed proposals for (29) of the State of Texas Agencies. Develop proposals for server consolidation and new server builds supporting the State of Texas Data Centers supported by Atos/Xerox.

Proficient in proposal development to include $3 to $4 million revenue dollars a year and in excess of 1000 labor resource hours each year for Xerox/Atos. The revenue dollars were generated from new servers and the installation of and continued server support for SOT.

Worked directly with State agency Management and to create proposals based on the future server requirements of the agency all in a required time frame never breaking an SLA contract clause. To include agency internal reviews, agency review processes and agency final approvals. Managed the technical exception and Peer Review processes. Recently completed AWS Cloud Practioner Course.

Qualified for SOT required Security Approvals for 8 eight years with CJIS FBI.

Service Now Managed RFS assignments. Creation of RFS Solution Proposal and all documentation required. Managed Peer Review Process. Managed all SOT technical exceptions, No SLA failures.

Assessed, analyzed, developed proposals for the Server Consolidation Pre-Sales process. Develop consolidation and virtualization proposals for IBM assessment funding. Proficient in and self training for IBM Systems Director installations for both client and Mainline internal support.

Developed proposals for 20 plus clients, for server consolidation/virtualization and application/data migration projects. Presented proposals to clients in order to sell deep dive assessments. Gained funding from IBM over $200K to offer clients which generated sales of IBM hardware and revenue for Mainline Systems.

Self-taught a data center software product known as IBM Systems Director. Installed and configured access to IP related devices; mastered day to day operations of the product in order to support marketing, sales, and technical support.

Technical Solutions Architect – Pre-Sales Engineer Proposal Manager

Assessed, analyzed, developed proposals for server consolidation and virtualized environments. Included application migration assessment.

Managed pre and post sale architectural design and solution development for client server consolidation, virtualization, storage migration outsourcing and data center engagements. Process was a critical piece of account negotiation and increased overall contract win percentage. Supported SCON and Migration efforts as a Pre-Sales Consultant on large Enterprise wide projects.

Managed end to end proposal documentation development ensuring technical and non-technical customers had a clear understanding of the proposed project assessment and savings for the project. Successfully directed architect solutions valued between $100K and $20M for over 200 domestic and international clients.

Accepted a new role as a Proposal Manager. Collaborated on development of processes, documentation and internal engagement requirements in order to increase migration business. Resulted in direct business with internal IBM organizations at a multimillion dollar engagement level.

Presented and architected a solution for one of IBM's largest clients, Disney. Developed a solution resulting in a savings of $15M, 5-7 year project. Awarded bonus and IBM recognition awards.

Collaborated with a team of over 25 architects and solution managers to develop and present a solution to consolidate and virtualized a client server farm. Personally communicated with the executive head of IT operations which was instrumental in gaining his trust and his vote toward winning a in excess of 1.5 billion dollar contract.

Provided input to RFP/RFI responses and input to client SOW's for several hundred clients over eight years. Created flawless proposals with zero errors. Proposals were reviewed by Sales, Delivery, QA/Risk and Executive levels before release to an engagement team for inclusion with a larger corporate client response. Successfully developed proposals for projects ranging from hundreds of thousands of dollars to multimillion dollars.

Architected a solution for 16,000 servers housed in 29 data centers around the globe. Collaborated with a large engagement team for 6-8 months to develop the overall data center solution consolidating the server inventory into 4 global data centers. Completed 6-7 solution scenarios for our team before architecting the final go ahead solution. Completed all work on time including management and executive level approvals.

Developed a solution for a Coca Cola bottler data center merger in the US. Architected a solution to consolidate servers from 625 Windows and Unix images down to 177 servers. Effectively architected compelling solution projecting savings over $2.7M within 5 years. Contract produced multi-million dollars of revenue for IBM.

Architected solution for a large financial corporation in the Northeast US to consolidate 600+ Windows, Linux and Unix images down to less than 40 servers and consolidation to two data centers. Transformation costs estimated at $1.2mil. Created a solution with projected savings of over $7M within 5 years thus contract was successfully negotiated.
