Purchasing Manager Fayetteville, NC 2013 - 2019

Managed Purchasing Team at the Kelly- Springfield tire production facility to purchase over $100M annually of CAPEX and MRO goods and services. Responsible for storeroom operations of 24,000 SKU’s. Led negotiations at both plant and corporate team levels. Negotiated with CAPEX and MRO suppliers.

The Fayetteville procurement team is among the highest ranking of all Goodyear Manufacturing plants in performance and savings: Recruited, trained and developed the Plant Procurement team which realized EBIT savings of nearly $12.5M since 2013.

Partnered with Goodyear Leadership and Global Commodity Teams to develop and implement new sourcing strategies, and vendor/supplier selection process. Consolidated vendors; identified sourcing opportunities. Evaluated vendors based on commercial, technical and statutory requirements.

Implemented and rolled out SAP/SRM software system. The Fayetteville plant was the first plant chosen among North American plants to successfully implement this system.

GOODYEAR TIRE & RUBBER COMPANY

North American Regional MRO Manager Akron, OH 2011 - 2013

Promoted to manage MRO Storeroom Operations and long-term strategic planning of 8 North American plants with assets over $115 million. Worked closely with Regional and Plant Purchasing and Engineering departments to coordinate product requirements for more effective sourcing and acquisition of MRO inventory

Implemented standard operating procedures across all North American MRO storerooms. North American MRO storerooms decreased overall inventory by 8% and critical stock outs by over 60%.

Developed and introduced SAP inventory software programs to reduce inventory levels and allow internal sourcing between plants. Reduced external spend in excess of $7.5 million annually.

Coached continuous improvement process teams to define, drive and sustain process improvements for Storeroom Operations. These improvements led to world class improvements in inventory accuracy, inventory control as well as decreasing inventory levels by $9.3 million in 2011 & 2012.

Scheduled production activities to consistently maintain 99.8% customer fill rate while reducing lead time from 14 to 5 days.
