Developed and implemented Delta’s sustainability and environmental health programs. Led staff of 4 professionals and oversaw company’s sustainability programs, including carbon management and Corporate Responsibility Report, and environmental health programs, including industrial hygiene, ergonomics, air quality in facilities and on aircraft, and chemical / hazardous material management.
Liaised with Fleet Strategy and Fuel Management, reducing greenhouse gas emissions from aircraft by 11% from 2005 levels, despite 25% increase in passenger-miles.
Assessed health hazards associated with new aircraft maintenance processes, such as additive manufacturing and fluoride ion cleaning, resulting in increased worker awareness of hazards and precautions.
