Edward is a multifaceted professional Agronomist who is privileged to have practiced a number of business management disciplines. He is an agronomist by training and post qualification experience. He is perhaps known for leading successful teams and for turning around business enterprises. Edward’s experience spans 15 years working as General Manager /Senior Agronomist, Program Area Coordinator and Regional Coordinator Food Security and Livelihoods for Rugote Enterprises Ltd Farms and BRAC International respectively.
Over the years, Edward has nurtured in him core skills in Project management, Crop agronomy, team leadership, seed sales management, budgeting/ finance management, project management, strategic planning, team performance management, logistics management, computer proficiency, customer relations, understanding of buyers, staff training, problem solving, and research. It is these very skills that have over the years defined him as an exceptional leader and agronomist and within these very skills lies the value that he brings on the team in places where he has worked.

Duties and Responsibilities
Monitoring seed distributions and cash for implementation to Lead farmers.
Proposal development and writing.
Identifying local cropping patterns/ farming systems in areas of operation.
Advising farmers on crop agronomy and agribusiness in Northern and Western regions of Uganda.
Conducting training of program components i.e. Community Agriculture Promoters, Lead Farmers and General Farmers/ farmer groups.
Supervising the activities of program assistant, model farmers and community agricultural promoters with extensive field visits.
Executing the agricultural extension and sales activities very smoothly and accurately to meet the sales target.
Preparing weekly and monthly sales report, program update, staff report and any other report in line with the program.
Liaising with government organizations, NGOs, INGOs and stakeholders.
Supervising the trainings and seed distribution to project beneficiaries.
Training farmers and farmer groups on value chain selection and analysis and principles of improved farming practices.
