Giving the inmates jobs to to and making sure the did the jobs without recourse. Keeping a log and doing rounds in the dorm every 30 minutes, Radio talk and responding to other officers on the compound. Taking inmates to chow hall to eat and escorting inmates to medical or confinement. Working in a tower or the roving patrol making sure there were no escapes or someone trying to help inmates escape. Searching other officers when coming on shift to make sure there was no contraband being brought in the prison for the inmates. I also worked in the control room which is the heart of the compound. I had to type a log to keep up with the operations of the compound on my shift. I had a log in for the CDC to move inmates into dorms and into medical or confinement so we always had track of their location and where there were being housed. I even had to remove them when they were be sent to other correctional facilities. I had to do dispatch to outgoing or incoming transports. Even when inmates were taken to hosiptals for count procedures, I had to call counts for the the facilities : Calhoun Correctional Instiitution is calling count at this time. Please call in your count for your dorm, If we do not have a correct count in a timely manner an emergency recount will be called,"
