WORK EXPERIENCE

L e a d N e u r o d i a g n o s i c Tech – F u l l t i m e - Omni EEG Lab – Dallas, TX Current

Accurately document patient history and gather appropriate information from the patient or from the patient's record. Verify identity of patient and provides adequate patient ID on all studies. Access, navigate and document in job related software applications (Natus, XLTEK, Epic, Remote Citrix, Microsoft Office suite). Monitor patients hooked up for EEG testing in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit and remote units. Report events to attending physician and other Neurodiagnostic staff members per departmental practices. Chart and update patient logs specific to monitoring and events recorded. Maintain the quality of EEG testing by fixing electrodes and responding to patient events as needed. Ensure patient safety and take appropriate actions during an abnormal study or emergency situation. Troubleshoot equipment and software issues as they arise and/or notify the appropriate staff as needed. Clip, prune, archive and merge EEG files. Travel to different Neurodiagnostic facilities as needed Education Related Clinical Experience (10 Weeks) – Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas – EEG 2019/2020
