A syndicated broadcast veteran of more than 30 years, Gavin has developed and maintains a myriad of education and experience. Both have equipped him with a unique skillset that has been the bedrock tools he uses in reporting local, national, and international news, “Infotainment news” and relevent cultural events that further shape our culture and global communities.
Although the awards and accolades are many Gavin stays true to his spiritual foundation through his love of Chaplaincy and community service. His commitment to the excellence of volunteerism and service to our community are at the heart of Gavin’s global work on air or in the city’s streets.
Whether serving the community at the Radio One Annual Stone Soul Picnic or The Annual “For Sisters Only” Tour (FSO) - each annual event offers ministry, music, community outreach and networking throughout the DMV’s homeless neighborhoods. Providing life skills for those that may need them; to volunteering to serve hot meals at local soup kitchens and serving our Veterans through blanket drives and canned food donations while partnering with B. Gaddy’s and the House of Ruth, specifically, in Baltimore City; to his volunteerism and community engagement with local churches and ministries throughout the DMV area for over 25yrs.
