Experience with robust, scalable, reliable data analysis with Python and Matlab, and reporting and analysis of performance. Skilled with finding solution to ambiguous problems. Experience with relational databases and able to navigate and query. S Relevant Skills

Experience and academic background in statistical methods, regression, maximum likelihood, and elements of machine learning -- Someone who recognizes importance of high-quality data collection for analysis and prediction -- Creator of well-documented procedures -- Excellent communicator -- Well organized, detail oriented and thorough in completing tasks and keeping up with the schedule -- Proficient with multiple computer platforms and software packages -- Atlassian, Jankins, GitHub, -- Programming languages: Pandas, PyTorch, NLP, TensorFlow, SQL, R, Matlab/Simulink, C/C++, Tableau Work Experience

May 2022 – December 20223: Data Engineer with Envision, member of the Product Team, developed process for automated schedule generation of Radiologists, by creating Demand and Capacity scheduling matrices, merging historical data from data warehouse with current events database and producing actionable tables. As a Team member, supported tickets investigations: investigating data patterns for quality assurance and assisting team members with deep dive into data issues. November 2020 – May 2022: Contact Tracer/Case Investigator for the State of Colorado, Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment (CDPHE);

- Conducted case investigations and contact tracing interviews for COVID-19; Entered the provided data; Updated on current protocols, policies, and procedures.

- Contributor to daily SOP development, activity spreadsheets, workflows, and quality control of data entries.

- In July 2021 completed a special CDPHE project “Did Interview Refusal Rate Increase Since We Started?” -- Organized participation of 50 fellow investigators, collected over 15,000 case and contact entries from 12/2020 to 6/2021, completed data analysis, and presented refusal rate trends in a group meeting.

May 2016 – March 2020: Research Associate, CIRES, CU Boulder and National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in Boulder, CO

- Worked on weather software upgrades and satellite data collection within the High Precision Computing (HPC) Group, a part of Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) national effort

- Worked on data collection and integration from diverse databases (National Lab data, University databases, NASA open-source platform); Wrote technical documentation and case stories.

- Developed Machine Learning (ML) algorithms for parameter optimization with the goal of improving NWP model with fusion of ground and satellite observations for soil moisture modeling, wrote Python/Pandas scripts for data collection, cleaning, preprocessing, statistical analysis (regression, Python/Keras), postprocessing and visualization, shared code with graduate students team members. 2004 – 2016: Systems Engineer/Algorithm Developer Northrop Grumman Corporation, Aurora, CO 2014 – 2016: O&M Project Manager for a Federal Aviation Administration radar surveillance system deployed in Bogota, Colombia (Colombian Air Force):

- Performed software maintenance (Unix/C), software upgrades, documented and investigated bugs, and troubleshooted radar data paths.

- Developed a prototype data driven approach (Matlab) for aircraft tracking as radar data registration correction parameters that improved tracking precision (automated calibration of the tracker); Presented and negotiated the proposed method at numerous stakeholders’ meetings; Documented the process.

2004 – 2013: Supported several programs in a variety of Systems Engineering, Algorithm Development, and Software testing tasks, both as a team lead and a team member:

- R&D Tech Lead - Developed an interface control document (ICD) and data processing procedures for a Sensor Coordination project that maximizes collected information; Tested the prototype on simulated platform; Negotiated proposed method and deliverables on stakeholders’ meetings.

- Performed software requirements analysis tasks and conducted stakeholder meetings. 1998 – 2004: Research Assistant at ECE Department and Lecturer at Applied Math Department, University of Colorado Boulder

- Lectured, quizzed, tested, and graded course Statistical Methods, 60 students.

- Developed a novel approach and the supporting algorithms (Linux/Matlab) for error analysis and comparison of maximum likelihood tracking systems. Education
