UW Madison - Undergraduate Student Researcher September 2021 - May 2022 Research in Developing a Code-Switching Detection Application Project Name : Hearing the same story dos veces : assessing the efficacy of dual-language storybook formats for children’s word learning.

Working within a group of four, I utilized OCR technology to quantify code switches and word counts using digital images of the bilingual children’s books being used in the research, making it so that any bilingual book can be processed through the software so that we can easier categorize and organize where those code switches and phrases lie within text.

GLAIVE - General Life Assisting Intelligent Virtual Entity A suite of programs designed to accomplish general assistance tasks but with more niche applications, such as filling out time cards automatically, renewing books from a library automatically, an application that can map out internal (within buildings) spaces with fleshed out details on locations of rooms, entrances and exits, and fastest routes throughout.

Sound Voltex and Beatmania IIDX Controllers

Controllers made to play these Japanese-exclusive games at home. Involved soldering, prototyping, circuit design, HID programming, drafting sketches in CAD for laser usage and application of my former mechanical engineering knowledge to deal with tolerances, structural integrity, ergonomics, and seamless integration of electrical and mechanical systems.
