Their we would escort inmates from their cells to the area where they were called to. We made it a safe environment for the inmates. I also interviewed the incoming inmates to see if they were active gang members or if they were ex gang members. I would also assign the cells to incoming inmates and/or protection if the inmates required it. I also was responsible for making sure that the jail was up to date with the state requirements. I started as a jailer then became a Sheriff Deputy in 2006. After the academy i was moved to the classification department. Their i would work with the gang intel unit.
