Professional Experience

Feb. 2019 – Present Standard Building Maintenance, 523 W. Nine Mile Road, Southfield, Michigan 48220. Responsible for daily maintenance of 400,000 square foot building, with approximately 15 different varieties of businesses/tenants. Duties include: Responsible for maintenance of all restrooms, breakrooms, kitchen areas and conference rooms located within each suite. Also responsible for the common areas accessible to the public. Ordering and stocking of all janitorial supplies i.e., mops, breakroom supplies for bathrooms and kitchens, cleaning solvents; Ordering paper products for all kitchens and bathrooms; scheduling regular floor maintenance, scheduling vendor appointments, facilitated minor plumbing repairs. Replacement of various light fixtures throughout the building and suites; Maintenance of monthly inspection and log of fire extinguishers in accordance with City of Southfield and OSHA Requirements; Ensuring that the walkways of the building are shoveled and salted for tenant’s safety during the winter months. Assisted Security Guards with Visitor Walk throughs.

August 2004 –

November 2020 Detroit Department of Elections. 2978 W. Grand Blvd., Detroit, Michigan, 48202. Responsible for poll election setup up; including breakdown and clean-up of voting facility. Supervised a team of 16-20 employees ensuring that all regulatory voting procedures were strictly adhered to. Provided maintenance of any malfunctioning equipment – if not able to correct then responsible for ensuring that machines would be replaced. Responsible for ensuring that potential voters had all required paperwork and at the correct poll location. Directing media calls to the Director of Communications to ensure that misleading or incomplete information couldn’t be construed as proprietary or personal.

November 2004

September 2010 Hallmark Builders Home Improvement Company, Jerry Sands, 28842 James Drive, Warren, Michigan. Supervised staff of 20 employees; Assisted with payroll documentation ensuring that hours were accurate, and licensing updated; deployed staff to the various locations that the company provided improvements for. Created an audit process that ensured employees had supplies needed for various onsite jobs. Assisted with cement pours, removal of site debris and interior and exterior painting where applicable. Maintained site inventory for three company locations. Hanging, mending drywall, taping, sanding, spackling, trimming, patching. Installation of molding (mesh or paper).
