Construction Engineer

Responsible for operating heavy duty equipment to move, load, and grade earth, rock, gravel or other materials during construction.

Use excavator to dig trenches, backfill excavations, break concrete or rock, and clear sites.

Maintain equipment by conducting routine inspections, check fluids, i.e., oil, lubricate machine joints, coolant, etc., before operating the equipment, perform and request repairs as needed.

Safety is of utmost priority in ensuring the work site is safe by adhering to strict safety protocols, communicating with other construction workers and supervisors.

Coordinate and consult with other operators and foremen to ensure projects are completed efficiently.

Operate HIAB (weight 14 Tons) to transport steel beams (approx. 5 tons), concrete and clay blocks for commercial and apartment buildings (warehouse, apartment building (three stores, approximately 15 apartments).

Excavate ground for commercial and private buildings and perform other physical duties as needed.

Move tools, equipment, other tools depending on job assignment.

Plan, manage and coordinate project tasks, resources, risks, deadlines and priorities.

Create AutoCAD drawings for apartment complexes and private investors.

As a fabricator/assembler, I use various tools and machines to move and fabricate components for building structures. My responsibilities vary depending on the job, but generally involve reading and interpreting technical blueprints, cutting, shaping, joining, etc.

Budget for building materials, purchase and submit purchase order to finance department for approval.

Closely maintain communication with co-workers and management, honest and reliable.
