SUMMARY

I am a MEng (Masters) Mechanical engineering student at the University of Johannesburg and a junior mechanical engineer at Public Bonds & Projects. As a junior mechanical engineer, I have been exposed to sales engineering, whereby I was tasked with tender documentation (this included the drafting of various method statements, quality control plans, contractor quality control plans, etc), RFQ documentation, RFI documentation, being on-site at various Eskom power station, presentations with various clients and steel pipe manufacturing whereby I took on the role of a draughts-person. I have also been exposed to the manufacturing of mild steel pipes, stainless steel shafts, mild steel slip-on flanges, and mild steel valves, where I was reporting to the engineering manager and worked with several skilled artisans such as fitters, turners, and welders. I have also been involved in the routine maintenance of boilers and centrifugal pumps at Paxton prison. I am very passionate about mechanical engineering and seek to broaden my knowledge on the engineering landscape on a daily basis. I am eager to display my engineering knowledge on every presentable occasion. For my academics, I have worked on the design of a turbocharger, an electric aircraft with 8 motors in pusher configuration, and the thermal analysis of a crop nursery greenhouse using computational fluid dynamics. I have very good skills in engineering design, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and project management which sets me apart from most.
