Functional Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable(AR) is an asset account on the balance sheet that money that money due to accompany in the short term.

Accounts Receivable when a company let’s a buyer purchase their goods or services on credit.

Accounts Payable is similar to Accounts Receivable, but instead money to be received, it is money owed.

The strength of company’s can be analysed with Accounts Receivable turn over ratio or days sales outstanding.

A turnover ratio analysis can be completed when the AR will be Received.

Accounts Payable are opposite to Accounts Receivable.To illustrate Companys A cleans Company B’s carpets and send the bill for the services.

Accounts Receivable is current asset, it measures company’s liquitidy or ability to short term obligations without withadditional cash flows.

Further analysys include assessing Days Outstanding(DSO), the average number of days the it takes to collect the payment sale has been made.

When it becomes clear that Accounts Receivable won’t get paid by the customer it has been written off bad debt expense expense or one time charge.
