Duties:

I work full time at St. Thomas Community Health Center as a Medical Assistant of a Nurse Practitioner. The NP. sees pediatric, adults and Woman Health (Pap Smears, DEPO injections, place and removal of Nexplanon). Gives COVID vaccines and Rapid COVID testing as well.

At Concentra I worked as a Medical Assistant. My duties include: triage Work Injuries, Urgent Care, occupational physicals, injections, blood draws, drug screens/BAT’s, answering phones, check in for provider rechecks and PT, check outs, orders/usage, maintaining center pharmacy, Pulmonary Function tests, fit tests (including porta count for full face respirators), stocking, cleaning

I worked at Touro Infirmary as a Patient Care Technician ( PTC or CNA), in the department or what it used to be called Med Surgery.

During my time as Medical Assistant at IMS now called LCMC. I was working with 2 Nurse Practitioners with both having full schedules sometimes on the same days, scheduling appointments, taking vitals, ordering lab work, additional test (bone density) DEXA scans, x-ray's, giving injections ( Prolia, Epogen, Zostervax, TB skin test, TDAP, vitamin –D, steroid and testosterone) order medications, knowledge of Intery computer program to input patient information and receive and complete task from the Nurse Practitioners or Provides, knowledges of sending referrals to insurance companies, and prior authorizations for medications,

Also, I used to work with the Allergist in (IMS) at the time as well, allergy patch testing, breathing treatments, pre and post spirometry test. Prior to that in 2008 to 2010, I worked one on one with a physician in the office with similar duties.
