● Chaired the Committee on Housing, Parks, and Recreation in the 25th Legislature and worked closely with U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to author the Home Ownership Act of 2004 which provided the legal framework to build 2, 500 homes over a five-year period. Successfully negotiated with HUD to provide infrastructure funding.
