Employed by a strike management company to work for the Dignity Health care system during their Engineer’s strike. Duties were to monitor and maintain boiler activity while in the plant. To troubleshoot and repair electrical problems that include but are not limited to: bed motors, patient call lights, microwaves, ice machine motors, electric doors and locks. Upon receiving the working order for these problems, I would first troubleshoot to find the problem, and then repair the problem. All repairs were made there on site.

During this time, I was employed by Capital Consultants to work at BAE ship yard in the Rigger Shop. My duties were to control movement of heavy equipment through, at sometimes, very narrow passage ways, and confined spaces, via the use of chain falls, cum-a-longs. Once equipment has reached a staging point where the crane can be used, I would then use the necessary lashings to connect equipment to the crane to be hoisted off of the vessel.

While employed as a Pipe Fitter for this Tiger Team operation, my primary function was either to repair or replace problems within a pipe run on board various types of vessels. Fabricated new pipe runs and installed the run on the vessel. Duties included threading, bending and welding pipe according the blue print provided.
Additionally installed and hardwired various types of communications equipment.
At the end of this contract, I went to work for Capital Consultants. While with Capital, I worked as a rigger, in the Rigger’s shop at BAE. During this time, I was tasked with the duties of being able to effectively communicate with crane operator either by radio or by hand signals. Before giving the signal for the equipment to be hoisted, I had to ensure proper lashings were attached to the item being lifted. This is paramount in every lift.
