December/ 2017- Present time Howard Brown Health.
Duties: Facilitate entry of the patient into the health care system, by assessing primary health
care needs, including eliciting comprehensive health histories, performing physical examinations, ordering
and performing pertinent diagnostic tests, analyzing collected data to determine health status, and
formulating diagnosis. Consulting with other health team members about managing the client treatment
plan. Engaging in mentor/mentee with experienced mid-level providers and physicians to gain clinical
practice. Document comprehensive, accurate, and continual data according to current organization
standards. Currently working as a MEDICAL DIRECTOR ASSISTANT, some of the responsibilities are to
evaluate provider performance on a monthly basis and provide feedback, assist with training and
implementing competency assessments, interviewing applicants, monitoring standard of care by doing chart
audits on other providers, approving vacation time, and ensuring comprehensive clinic coverage etc.

Duties: working under the division of Infectious Disease/HIV services providing primary
care to patients with chronic conditions such as HIV, diabetes, hypertension, tuberculosis, dermatology
conditions, opportunistic infections associated with immune disorders, sexual transmitted diseases, and
women’s health care / pelvic examinations. As primary care providers we are also responsible for the
mental health of our patients such as mood disorders, anxiety, psychotic disorders, substance abuse etc.
Patients with complicated poorly controlled psychoses are referred to our specialty psychiatric clinic.
November/2003 –January/ 2015 Cook County Hospital, TRAUMA NURSE SPECIALIST.
Duties: Stabilize patients that are admitted with gunshot wounds, stab wounds, car
accidents, falls, blunt head traumas, assist with emergency thoracotomies, intubation procedures, assist with
insertion and care of intracranial monitoring devices, swan Ganz and monitoring patients on life saving
medications such as dopamine/ levophed/epinephrine and continue to care for the patients in the trauma
observation or trauma ICU depending on the severity of the patient’s injuries. Help spinal cord injury
patients during the acute recovery phase. Admit and recover patients from the operating room, assist with
intubation procedures, and delegate tasks to assisting personnel.
