PROJECTS
Worked as a Research assistant at Advanced Forming and Research Center,UK for the RTI project titled “Laser Machining of GFRP composites for Reusability”In this project UV laser machining of GFRP was achieved with high cutting speeds and low heat affected zones.
Masters dissertation on “small scale ram pump operated hydropower plant simulation and design”, completed in august 2016 with a score of 88 out of 100.Designed a ram pump model on the flow master V7 software and carried a transient flow sensitivity analysis of the various parameters on the ram pump performance. Furthermore, conducted an analysis on the feasibility of ram pump operated hydro power plant and its maximum output.

Eco barn: Worked on the development of off the grid house powered on hybrid solar and wind power system and studied the feasibility of such a house based in the Scotland weather.
. Turbine Design: This project focused on the design of a steam turbine(stages) based on the provided steam production conditions.
. Boiler Design: The project was based on the design of a coal powered boiler for the given coal composition.
. Financial Engineering Project: Worked in a group project to analyse the reasons for the fiscal insolvency of “Nokia”.
. Designed and conducted a Finite element analysis on the Balsa airplane.
. Worked on the feasibility of an on-site liquid hydrogen production plant using brine and solar power.
. Did an analysis on the production of NOx in power plants and its preventive measures.
MAINTENANCE Worked as a maintenance engineer at “BEST WAY CEMENT”. Responsibilities were to Manage the trouble shooting, preventive and proactive Maintenance of machines so as to reduce break down time of the equipment’s Responsible for the schedule planning of the annual and monthly planned kiln shutdown Responsible for the procurement of the spares Effective preventive maintenance schedules of various equipment.
TEACHING Worked as a lecturer at “The University of Lahore, Islamabad Campus”. The responsibilities included teaching Mechanical Vibration and Engineering drawing subjects. Other responsibilities include curriculum planning and Pakistan Engineering Council accreditation documentation and Planning.
Worked as a visiting lecturer. The responsibilities were curriculum planning, delivering lectures on various subjects like thermodynamics, machine design, mechanical vibration and HVAC.
PART TIME Worked at Customer Relations/ Sales Department at Bonny pack sales Glasgow. Facilitate customers in the electric appliances, furniture and lighting décor for house furnishing. Interactions on a daily basis in terms of guidance, aid, information regarding the products best suitable to the requirements. Digitized record keeping of the inventory stocks of different products sold in the cash and carry which requires updates of new shipments of stock, quantity of sold products and returns. INTERNSHIPS Worked as internee at BESTWAY CEMENT. My work as an internee was to understand the working of the cement plant and a waste heat recovery power plant. Worked as an internee at LYALLPUR CHEMICALS for understanding the process of working of ammonia and sulfuric acid preparation plants and the maintenance of various dynamic equipment.
